Fox survives net trauma

The animal was found tangled up in the netting of children's football goals in the garden of an Edinburgh home.

Staff from the Scottish SPCA were called to the house in the Grange to rescue the eight-week-old female fox last Wednesday. She had got tangled up in the netting, severely cutting her leg.

The SSPCA is asking people to remove the nets of any goalpost when they are not in use.
