Four treated after pan fire

A woman and three men were treated for smoke inhalation following a chip pan fire in Clermiston Road yesterday afternoon.

Fire crews from Sighthill attended the blaze, extinguishing the flames using a high-pressure hose reel and breathing apparatus.

Ambulance crews treated casualties, who had managed to escape the property without assistance, at the scene.

The fire broke out at around 5.21pm in the kitchen of the property and crews were stood down inside 30 minutes.
