Four teens arrested over Edinburgh ‘racist attack’

FOUR teenagers have been arrested in connection with an alleged racially-motivated attack in Edinburgh on Monday night.

Two 18-year-olds, described as being of Arabian and Pakistani ethnicity, were assaulted and their home was damaged by a group of youths in Edinburgh.

The victims were verbally abused, chased and hit with rocks in the Drylaw area.

Police Scotland said two males aged 16, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old had been arrested and will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.

Inspector David Happs said: “In addition to these arrests, we are continuing with our investigation to trace others believed to be involved.

“Anyone with information that can assist with these inquiries is asked to come forward immediately.”

The attack happened at around 9pm on Monday in West Pilton Terrace.
