Four rescued in boat drama

FOUR people, including two children, had to be rescued by lifeboat crews after their boat developed a leak.

Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat volunteers were called at 1.45pm on Wednesday following a mayday distress call from the motor cruiser off Cockenzie.

The 7m vessel, which had two adults and two children on board, was on a day trip to Inchkeith island from Dunbar when a leak developed. A rescue helicopter was also brought in.
