Four injured in car smash

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy and three adults were injured following a head-on crash near North Berwick on Saturday.

The two cars collided on the A198 North Berwick to Dirleton Road at around 2.45pm, with all casualties being taken to hospital with chest pains.

An 80-year-old man also sustained back injuries. A woman, aged 49, had to be cut free from a vehicle before being taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
