Four hurt in head-on crash

FOUR people have been taken to hospital after two vehicles collided in a head-on smash yesterday.

The two cars were travelling on the B1361 between Prestonpans and Wallyford when the collision took place near to Drum Mohr caravan park at around 4.30pm.

Four ambulances and a fast response vehicle rushed to the scene to treat a driver and two passengers, while firefighters removed the roof and doors of the other. A 53-year-old man was trapped within the car for around an hour.
