Tayside Police arrested two local men, aged 49 and 27, a 36-year-old local woman and a 23-year-old man from Liverpool.

They are scheduled to appear before Forfar Sheriff Court.

Detective Inspector Stuart Holmes, the head of Tayside's drugs and surveillance branch, said that his officers were "100 per cent committed to doing everything possible to remove the scourge of class A drugs from our streets".

He said detectives work closely with the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency to combat the drugs trade.
