Forth puffins rise above storm effects

The size of the puffin colony on the Isle of May in the Forth has been encouraging, after a difficult year saw many of the nests destroyed by fierce storms.

Observers at the Scottish Seabird Centre have been delighted with the number of chicks hatched on the colony, despite the damage caused by bad weather.
