Forest boss gong hailed

THE director general of the Forestry Commission has been praised after being awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Tim Rollinson has been with the woodland watchdog since 1976 after completing a degree in Ecological Science at Edinburgh University.

He helped found, and now chairs, the Global Partnership on Forest Landscape Restoration.
