Foreign Office pays out £7.4m bonuses

Foreign Office staff were given at total of nearly £7.5 million in bonuses last year, according to official figures.

Some 5,604 staff were paid a total of 7,457,502 to reward "high levels of performance" in 2009-10. The largest single payment was 15,000.
