Football ground charity walker raises £2500

A MAN who walked to every Premiership football ground in England in memory of his tragic cousin has exceeded his fundraising target.

Paul Fulton, 26, from the Borders, has raised nearly 2500 and returned from the mammoth trek yesterday when he arrived at Easter Road.

His cousin Scott McClymont passed away earlier this year at the age of only 25, 19 days after he was diagnosed with bowel cancer.

His moving story prompted Mr Fulton, a postman, to undertake the mission, which began at Wembley Stadium in London and took in a further 20 grounds scattered across England before crossing the border and up into Edinburgh.

After discussing a suitable charity with Mr McClymont's parents, who live in Carrick Knowe, it was decided he would give all proceeds to the Bobby Moore Fund, which helps raise cash for bowel cancer research.

His original goal was to make 2000 but that figure has been far exceeded.
