Football club work delayed

PLANS to build a new football pavilion at the home of a Lothian football team have been delayed to prevent the disruption of a local gala day.

Concerns had been raised that new facilities, including an all-weather 3G pitch, for Arniston Rangers Football Club at Gore Glen in Gorebridge, Midlothian, would impact on the annual gala.

Developer Macdonald Estates has now agreed not to start building work on the pavilion and spectator stand until after this year's gala in June.
