Food bundle helps charity

CHILDREN at a city special school have been helping collect food for a homeless charity.

As part of their harvest festival celebrations, children, their families and staff at Braidburn School in Oxgangs collected food which will be delivered to the Castlecliff Project.

Those who use the project are homeless people aged over 16 who have support needs. These include rough sleepers.

The pupils at Braidburn have complex and profound disabilities and range in age from three to 18. Despite their own special needs, they regularly take part in charitable events. As part of the celebrations, children from the primary enacted the story of Stone Soup and secondary pupils presented a poem.
