Foo Fighters in Murrayfield return after cancelled gig

ROCK band Foo Fighters have announced a fresh date for Edinburgh - less than a month after cancelling their Murrayfield gig because lead singer Dave Grohl had broken his leg.

The group from Seattle will play at the rugby stadium on September 8.

Confirmation comes after band members released a statement last month revealing doctors had required the cancellation of the remainder of the band’s dates in the UK and Europe, including a sell-out Murrayfield concert on June 23.

This was after Grohl injured himself when falling from the stage during their show in Gothenburg, Sweden.

At the time, it was not clear whether the event would be rearranged, although in a lengthy apology to fans, Grohl suggested shows would be reorganised when his leg had healed.
