Flu kills patient as death toll hits 60

ONE patient with flu has died in the last week in Scotland, figures show.

The total number of deaths linked to flu this winter currently stands at 60, with 111 people needing intensive care. The number of people seeing their GP with flu-like illness has fallen again, from 41.6 consulations per 100,000 population to 33.1, according to Health Protection Scotland.
