Florence and the MTV award

British band Florence and the Machine have scooped a coveted MTV Video Music Award for hit song Dog Days Are Over.

The group, which features the vocals of Florence Welch with collaborating musicians, picked up the best art direction gong at the star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles. They were also nominated for Video of the Year and Best Rock Video.
