Flats plan is thrown out

A DEVELOPER'S plan to build four new flats have been thrown out by council chiefs.

Mr GP Begg, from Edinburgh, submitted a planning application to build the flats in Herd Terrace, Loanhead, along with parking space at the site.

Midlothian Council refused to give the plans a green light, saying: "It has not been demonstrated that four flatted dwellings could be served with adequate amenity space, whilst reflecting the character of the surrounding development."
