Flat death 'not suspicious'

THE death of a woman whose body may have lain undiscovered for up to two months in a Leith flat was "non-suspicious", police have confirmed.

Fiona Taylor, 43, was found in a second-floor flat in Albert Street on July 9 after neighbours reported a foul odour at the premises.

A postmortem was carried out in a bid to determine a cause of death, with police initially treating her death as "unexplained".

A report is being sent to the procurator fiscal.
