Flashpoints at hospitals

FALLS, violent reactions and radiation alerts were among 250 serious flashpoints in Lothians hospitals over the last year.

Details released through Freedom of Information also reveal there were scalds, surgical alarms and infection control incidents in the area.

The list of all "serious untoward incidents" shows the majority of instances took place at the ERI, the Western and St John's hospital in Livingston and the Sick Kids.
