Five rescued as boat runs aground

Five people were rescued yesterday morning after a fishing vessel ran aground.

The Golden Promise ran aground off the island of Stroma in the Pentland Firth.

Coastguard were alerted shortly before 5am. A rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth and two lifeboats, from Longhope and Thurso, were at the scene.
