Fisherman ill after falling overboard

A FISHERMAN is in a serious condition in hospital after falling over the side of his boat.

He went overboard from the Blue Angel fishing vessel off Gigha, west of Kintyre, just before 1pm yesterday.

The man was airlifted to hospital in Kilmarnock with serious injuries. Clyde Coastguard was called to deal with the emergency, but said no further details were available.
