First user marks ten years of broadband

CELEBRATIONS are scheduled to take place today to mark ten years of broadband in the UK.

The first person to have broadband in Britain was Mark Bush, of Basildon, Essex, during a pilot on 31 March, 2000. The father of three said he had wanted it to play games for longer, but now depended on it.
