First seizure of illegal mephodrone in Lothians

THE first seizure of the newly illegal mephedrone drug has taken place in the Lothians.

Two men have been arrested under the Misuse of Drugs Act following the raid in Niddrie on Friday.

Among the items found was a "personal quantity" of the substance, which is now a Class B drug.

A 26-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the find.
