Firm seals retail deals

A PROPERTY company has secured two new retail deals in Edinburgh.

A Chinese herbal medicine shop is to open at 8 Ormiston Terrace after landlord Peatallen sold the unit to a private purchaser for 150,000. And beauty salon Make-up by Chris has opened at 38-39 West Preston Street with a five-year lease.

Will Biggart, surveyor at Ryden, which acted for both landlords, said: "Both of these deals show that there is still appetite at the smaller end of the market in Edinburgh."
