Firm in tune for charity

A FIRM which has worked with Oscar-winning soundtrack composers has helped raise thousands to Friends of the Earth Scotland.

Camel Audio, run by Edinburgh-based entrepreneur Ben Gillett, provides a library of recorded sounds which has been used by the likes of Danny Elfman, Orbital and Sasha.

For August only, customers were able to pay what they wished for the sounds, with 50 per cent of the money being donated to Friends of the Earth Scotland.

The online sound library ended up raising online 16,000.

Mr Gillett said: "I'm really pleased that we were able to raise so much to help Friends of the Earth with the fantastic work they do campaigning on the worlds most urgent environmental problems."
