Firefighters tackle house blazes in Musselburgh and Dalkeith

DOZENS of firefighters were called out to tackle two large blazes in the Lothians.

Crews rushed to a property in Denholm Road, Musselburgh, after receiving an emergency call at 4.20pm.

They discovered a large blaze had broken out in an attic – fierce enough to cause the collapse of the property’s roof. A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue said: “It was quite a big blaze, and many engines were needed.”
