Fire crews tackle blaze in Comely Bank tenement

AT least 45 firefighters attended a blaze in a tenement block in Comely Bank last night.

Crews were called to reports of a major fire in an attic space of a property on Learmonth Grove at around 8.40pm.

However, they managed to bring the fire under control within 20 minutes. No-one was injured.

A fire service spokeswoman said hot spots remained in the roof area and that surveyors had been called to examine any structural damage.
