Fire chiefs praise city

FIRE bosses say "excellent partnership working" helped the city deal with the recent extreme weather conditions.

Chief fire officer Brian Allaway said all of the fire service's resources remained available, although "some degree of innovation" was sometimes required to get to incidents.
