The conference will include speakers and interactive sessions, and is open to all groups and individuals interested in adopting a more sustainable lifestyle.

The day will include a community breakfast and lunch and begins at 10:30am for an 11am start.

Places can be booked at the website of organisers Transition Edinburgh - transitionedinburgh.wordpress.com.

The organisation's John Ireson said: "Out of the Blue Drill Hall is a fantastic venue for community and arts activities - with fresh, local ingredients served up by the cafe."
