Finance recruiter Core-Asset appoints business manager

Core-Asset Consulting, the Edinburgh-based recruitment firm that focuses on the finance sector, has appointed Rachael O'Neill to the new role of business manager, financial services.

Reporting to director of financial services Louise Powrie, O’Neill – who has 12 years’ experience in the recruitment industry – will be responsible for placing mid- to senior-level candidates in permanent asset servicing roles. She will also manage the accounts of asset servicing clients.

Powrie said: “Scotland’s asset servicing sector continues to grow, and with it an increasing demand for experienced specialist staff – particularly within oversight functions of third-party administrators and global custodians. These roles can be very technical.

“As a result, hiring organisations and potential candidates need to be supported by consultants with the requisite levels of knowledge and experience. Rachael has well over a decade of recruitment expertise, with the bulk of these focused on asset servicing. She has a fantastic track record in supporting clients and delivering a positive experience for candidates.”

O’Neill’s appointment brings the headcount at Core-Asset, led by founder and managing director Betsy Williamson, to 36.
