Finance company to create 60 new jobs

A GLOBAL financial services firm is to boost its Scottish operations, creating more than 60 new jobs in the Capital.

BNY Mellon, which provides investment management and other financial services to corporations and individuals, is expanding its offices in Blenheim Place at the top of Leith Walk, increasing its Scottish workforce to about 650. The company operates in 36 countries and has had a presence in Scotland for more than 20 years.

Finance Secretary John Swinney said: "The company's decision to invest further in Edinburgh reflects the quality and skills of the local workforce and Scotland's position as a world leader in financial services."
