Finalists for short film award put in the picture

THE ten finalists for this year's Jim Poole Scottish Short Film Award have been revealed.

The filmmakers will compete at a screening and awards presentation this Sunday at the Cameo Cinema.

The annual award started in 1999 to show commitment to backing Scottish filmmakers. It was named in honour of the visionary who reopened the cinema as the Cameo in 1947.

Finalists will be competing for first prize which includes prize money of 1,000.

Tickets are free and will be released at 11am on Sunday.
