Films reach out to world

Films looking at global development issues are set to be shown at the Take One Action Film Festival next month.

The festival promises screenings of UK premieres and engaging events in the Capital highlighting international issues, including poverty, gender discrimination, climate change and the spread of HIV and Aids.

Audiences will also be able to meet the filmmakers and hear more about these issues through discussions with experts. The festival runs from September 23 to October 5.

Venues include the Filmhouse and The Melting Pot.
