Filmmaker has eyes on double prize

An Edinburgh-based film-maker aims to make it two award-winning years in a row at an annual film festival.

Rhys Fullerton won last year’s Keswick Film Festival’s Golden Osprey award for short film, Stuck.

This year he has written, directed and co-produced a three-minute film which has been shortlisted for an Osprey Short Film Award.

The film, Birdie, tells the story of a retired golf champion, Robert Fripp, who is now a frail, lonely and forgotten man, but walking through a park, recalls the day that made him a legend and is determined to take one last swing.

Festival organisers will announce the winners on Saturday, February 25.
