Fife boy in hospital after T in the Park injury

A TEENAGE boy was rushed to hospital in the early hours of this morning after sustaining a head injury at T in the Park Festival site at Balado.

The 16- year-old boy from Fife was injured after he had been spotted dancing on a table at the festival’s breakfast bar.

A spokesman for the Tayside Division of Police Scotland said: “He had been in the 24 hour breakfast bar in Sunset Strip at the festival shortly after 4am and had been seen dancing on a table. Soon after, emergency services were contacted and he was treated at the venue by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. His condition is currently being assessed, but is not life threatening.

“His family have been fully informed and are with him at hospital.”

The spokesman added: “ There are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. However, Police Scotland has requested that anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident contacts them on 101.”
