Fiennes in Cameo appearance

ACTOR Ralph Fiennes will appear at The Cameo cinema for a Q&A session this evening, following a special screening of his directorial debut Coriolanus.

The film is not due to open until late January, but the cinema in Home Street will have an exclusive preview of the film, which has already won acclaim on the festival circuit.

As well as directing, Fiennes stars in the film, alongside Jessica Chastain, Gerard Butler and Vanessa Redgrave.

The film places the Shakespeare play in a modern state – possibly in the Balkans – under threat from a neighbouring country, with Fiennes as the general Coriolanus, who is triumphant but changes sides when his people reject his rule.
