Fewer Scots use internet on their mobiles

SCOTS use the internet on their mobiles less than the rest of the UK does, according to new research.

The study found 69 per cent use it in Scotland, compared with 74 per cent across the UK.

Social networking was the main reason at 37 per cent, followed by checking news and e-mails at 37 per cent.

Of those questioned, 73 per cent admitted surfing the internet while with friends, and 16 per cent even checked in online during a date, in the survey by Carphone Warehouse.
