Festive frolics for libraries

A VARIETY of free festive events for children are being held at libraries in Midlothian.

Bonnyrigg Library will host a Christmas crafts session for children aged 6-11 on Friday, from 2.30-3.30pm.

Dalkeith Library will also hold a Christmas crafts activity on Friday at 1pm, with storyteller Patsy Dyer entertaining visitors from 1.30pm.

Christmas crafts sessions will take place at Mayfield and Newtongrange libraries on Friday at 2pm. An advent quiz with tasty prizes every day until Christmas Eve will be on offer at Danderhall Library, while a special Christmas Rhymetime event takes place at Gorebridge Library from 10-10.30am on December 24.

Loanhead Library will host Christmas storytime for under-fives on Wednesday at 10am.
