Festival nets £10k funding

FESTIVAL revellers are to benefit from a £10,000 funding boost.

EventScotland awarded the cash to Fringe by the Sea – the six-day event held in North Berwick from 10 August.

The funding will support a marketing campaign to increase visitor numbers, as well securing a larger Spiegel tent for the event.

Paul Bush, chief operating officer at EventScotland, said: "Fringe by the Sea brings a taste of the Fringe to East Lothian and utilises an already world-famous and hugely successful event."
