Feedback brings post office return

The Post Office is to reopen Bruntsfield Post Office in brighter premises.

Post Office Ltd had to temporarily close the Bruntsfield Post Office branch, on September 15, following the withdrawal of the premises for their use.

Following the end of the formal period of public consultation, and having reviewed comments from customers and local representatives, the branch will reopen at new premises at Bruntsfield News, 115 Bruntsfield Place.

The feedback was mainly in support of the reopening as it will restore Post Office services to the community.

Brian Turnbull, field change adviser, Post Office Ltd, said: “Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term. The decision to relocate the branch to new premises is designed to secure continued access for our customers to Post Office services well into the future.”
