Fears grow for ‘vulnerable’ missing girl, 12

CONCERNS are growing for a missing 12-year-old girl who has not been seen since failing to turn up at school this week.

Police described Demi Lee Hardy as “vulnerable” and appealed for “urgent assistance” from the public to help trace her.

The 12-year-old is from Westburn, Cambuslang, and was last seen in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow on Tuesday.

Demi Lee is a pupil at John Paul Academy in Summerston but did not show up at school on Tuesday.

When last seen, she was wearing a black leather jacket, white vest top and light blue jeans which were ripped at the knee. She has braces on her teeth with white bands.

Police said she is known to frequent the Castlemilk, Summerston and Toryglen areas of Glasgow.

A force spokesman said: “Officers are very concerned for her safety and wellbeing due to her young age.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.”
