Family's fond farewell to crash siblings

Hundreds of mourners gathered in Edinburgh yesterday for the funeral of a brother and sister killed in a plane crash in Florida.

Carly Beattie, 21, was flying in a Cessna 152 with her brother Daniel, 24, when it crashed on June 9 in a wooded area near Blue Cypress Lake.

Around 80 people, dressed in colourful clothes as requested, lined the streets as the coffins arrived at Mortonhall Crematorium. Around 200 mourners attended the celebration of life service.
