Family escape major blaze in living room

FOUR family members had to be treated in hospital after fire took hold in their Grange living room.

The blaze began when an incense stick fell and set light to furniture in the Esdaile Park flat at around 10.45pm last night.

The couple and their two male children escaped and were treated at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for smoke inhalation.

The father had to be restrained from returning to the property.

The mother, who asked not to be named, said: "I am still shaking this morning."
