Family escape as fireraiser strikes

A FAMILY had a lucky escape after an object was set on fire and put through their letterbox.

The incident happened in Edinburgh's Pilton district at about 8:45pm on Wednesday.

Two adults and a child escaped the house unharmed after neighbours raised the alarm. They did not suffer any injuries, but officers say they were treated for shock at the scene of the incident.
