Fall puts teen in hospital

A TEENAGER is recovering in hospital after falling down a 50 foot drop in the early hours of this morning after a night out.

The 18-year-old fell down a gulley-like gap next to South Bridge Police Station, in Bathgate, at around 12.30am.

Fire workers assisted the ambulance service to pull the teen out of the gap.

He was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with suspected leg and hip injuries, where he is believed to be resting today.
