Fake note duo jailed

TWO Edinburgh men who toured the country passing counterfeit £10 notes have been jailed.

Richard Heath, 46, and Peter Renton, 27, who shared a flat at Calder Gardens, pleaded guilty to 13 offences in Dunbar, Haddington, North Berwick and Hawick.

Heath was jailed for 175 days and Renton received a sentence of 125 days after pleading guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
