Facial surgery for man hit by bottle thug

A MAN will be left scarred for life after he was hit in the face with a bottle during a large-scale disturbance outside a bar.

The 27-year-old was subjected to the "particularly violent attack" in the early hours of yesterday after a night out with friends. Police said the victim was assaulted outside BJ's bar in Crow Road, in the west end of Glasgow, at around 2.25am.

He was struck by the bottle and suffered a serious injury to his face.
