Facebook bid to aid charity

Campaigners fighting to save one of Edinburgh's oldest charities have set up a Facebook page to rally support.

Last week, councillors approved a recommendation to begin a 30-day consultation on the future of BlindCraft, which employs around 70 people - more than half of whom are blind or disabled. The fate of the Craigmillar company will now be decided in November.

The social networking page, which currently has 68 members, was started by Edinburgh student Hannah Lister, 21, who also set up the Save BlindCraft campaign group.
