Eye injury for attack victim

A MAN was left with a fractured eye socket after being kicked and punched at an 18th birthday party, a court has heard.

John Davidson, 20, James Davidson, 21, and Kevin Davidson, 23, admitted carrying out the attack on Elliot Johnston which happened at Crawlees Crescent, Mayfield, on June 6 last year. The Crown accepted that it was a fourth unidentified man whose kick inflicted the eye injury.

Fiscal Depute Mr Drugan said Mr Johnston was left with heavy bruising and had to be operated on for his fracture around the left eye socket.

John Davidson and James Davidson, both of Oak Crescent, Mayfield, and Kevin Davidson, of Larch Crescent, admitted while acting along with others repeatedly punching and kicking Mr Johnston.

Sheriff James Scott deferred sentence for background reports until October.
