It's just a few hours until the Kingdom FM Local Hero Awards take place at the Rothes Halls, and the nominees will certainly be feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement!

The Local Hero Awards are in their 11th year, and, during that time, have honoured many groups and individuals. Some 420 Fifers have been short listed and celebrated for their selfless work in our schools, workplaces, communities and homes.

This year, awards will be given out in 13 categories, which are:
